Desktop Support Technician

Knowledge and Experience

• Expertise in Linux Desktop Support
• Knowledge of Microsoft Autopilot and Intune
• Knowledge of Apple Business Manager and JAMF
• Demostratable knowledge of automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc)
• Understanding of containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, etc)
• Client scripting and automation (python, bash, powershell)
• Ability to solve complex problems with minimal oversight
• Effective Communication
• Ability to write technical documentation
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.

Job Responsibilities

• Research, design and implement technical solutions
• Manage and support varied lab systems, both Windows and Linux-based
• Manage and support MDM solutions for Windows, Mac and Linux environments
• Collaborate with technical groups across the organization
• Author technical documentation

Education

• BS in an information technology or computer science related field.
• 5+ years Linux desktop support experience.
• 5+ years IT experience
